Striving for Excellence in Education

As a Madison resident, Dr. DeWitt started his dream of becoming a chiropractor by graduating from LaFollette High School in 1981. He completed his pre-chiropractic studies at the U.W. Madison. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating with academic and research honors in September 1989. After passing three rigorous national examinations and the Wisconsin State Board examination, he became an associate doctor with the LSM Chiropractic Clinics in October 1989. In October 1990, Dr. DeWitt initiated his post graduate study in Chiropractic Orthopedics. After four years of study and passing the national examination given by the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists, he was awarded his diplomate degree in December 1995.

Giving Back to the Community

Since Dr. DeWitt has been practicing with LSM Chiropractic, he has focused on involving himself with children. He is passionate about the education of children in the importance of chiropractic, and is convinced that, through education, many of the adult chronic spinal problems can be avoided. 

Besides teaching children and parents about health issues, he is involved with children in the community.  Having been an Eagle Scout, he is an adult leader in his son's Boy Scout troop in Sun Prairie, WI.  He is an active participate in the Glacier Edge Boy Scout council.  He teaches young scouts the importance of leadership, outdoor camping, nature, citizenship and the importance of community service.

Dr. DeWitt and his family have been members of St. Albert the Great church for over 15 years.  Dr. DeWitt has continued working with children teaching youth faith formation and scripture for over a decade. 

The Importance of community service and leadership has him involved with many local projects including American flag placement on Veteran gravesites during Memorial Day activities, youth conservation projects, pancake breakfasts and helping at Fireman Open houses.  He has coordinated the Sun Prairie's Scout for Food, food drive for the past several years.  Lastly, working with the City of Sun Prairie, he developed a city wide food drive that occurs with each local and national election called "Vote 4 Food."

God, Family, and Chiropractic

These are Dr. DeWitt's passions and priorities. Jesus is his Lord and Savior. His family consists of his wife, Lisa, his son, Joshua, and his daughters, Sarah and Michaela. He treasures quiet time with his family and playing with his children at the park. Dr. DeWitt enjoys fishing, tennis, and collecting Star Trek memorabilia.
